He was predeceased by: his daughter Deborah. He is survived by: his children, David and Taylor; his daughter-in-law Dana; and his granddaughter Lane.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a cause that was close to Richard's heart.
