He was predeceased by: his father Robert G. McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen McGinnis; his child Tommy; his mother Barbara McGinnis; his brother Kevin; his children, Jamison and Alana; his sister Kelly; his children, Maddie, Gavin, Keagan, Luke, Gabby, Makinley and Logan; his sister Kathryn (Brian Healy); his aunts, Betty Popko and Marge; his uncle Gary Johnson; and also, Melia, Mary Jane, Wally, Peggy, Walter Jr., Beth, Nancy, Amy, Eric, Hugh Kerrigan and John Kerrigan.
