She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis King and Marcella Ives (Elway). She is survived by: her children, Brenda (Timothy Testerman) of Simsbury, CT, Sharon Caetano of Louisburg, NC, Nancy (Brian Maloney) of West Hartford, CT and Brad Newell (Beth) of Alton Bay, NH.; her grandchildren, Nathan, Kyle, Todd Testerman, Christina, Scott Caetano, Sean, Ryan, Kevin, Katie Maloney, Greg, Pamela (Stephen) and David Newell; her great grandchildren, Landon Stephen, Humza Newell and Caeden Stephen; and her former husband Charles Newell.
In lieu of flowers, Carolyn's wishes were to encourage people to send donations to Connecticut Children's Foundation, PO Box 412901, Boston, MA 02241 in memory of her grandson, Scott Caetano.
