With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rakesh Anand MD of Fairfield, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ram Lal Anand and Vidya Vati Anand; and his brother Prem Anand. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Nalini Anand, MD; his children, Neil Anand and Sonia Anand Cullinane; his son-in-law Brian Cullinane; his grandsons, Colin and Sean; his siblings, Vijay Anand (Sadhna), Usha Dhir (Virinder), Geeta Sawhney (Harbans) and Rita Anand; his sister-in-law Hannelore Anand; his mother-in-law Sarla Nayyar; and his siblings-in-law, Sanjeev Nayyar (Seema), Shubhlata Arora (Anil), Shobhna Caplash (Pradeep), Sunita Sood (Ram) and Suman Batra (Atul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home (50 Reef Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824).
