It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Briggs Smith of Fairfield, Connecticut, born in Huntington, New York, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Sales and Eleanor Cooper Smith. He is survived by: his wife Annie (Annie); his children, Jason (Maura) of Milford, Julie Sanwald (Kurt) of Milford and Matthew (Aileen) of Smith's, Bermuda.; his grandchildren, Ben Fusco, Brett Smith, Abby Sanwald, Jacob Sanwald, Drew Smith and Violet Smith; and his brothers, Curtis Smith (Ann) of Manchester, NH and Warren Smith (Ann Marie) of Bosque Farms, NM. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
