Gerard Bisceglie Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Gerard "Gerry" Bisceglie, 68, of Fairfield (formerly Weston) announces his passing on December 26, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT while surrounded by family. He was born March 16, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York to Patrick and Margaret (Hanly) Bisceglie.
After attending Sacred Heart University, he dedicated himself to a fulfilling career in construction, most recently serving as a contractor at Montessori School in Wilton. With a genuine passion for hands-on work and a knack for problem-solving, Gerry thrived when tackling projects. Whether he was repairing things around the house, running his own general contracting business, or helping customers in his hardware store, he found immense satisfaction and joy in construction and craftsmanship. There wasn't a problem that he couldn't solve or a repair he couldn't make. It was a source of great pride for Gerry to share his trade expertise with his son, passing down his skills over the years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing. He loved being a father, sharing in their interests, and teaching life lessons to his children. He prided himself on never missing one of their games, races, or activities.
Gerry was pre-deceased by his father and his daughter, Jaclyn. He is survived by his mother Margaret of Weston, son Justin and his wife Katie of Wilton, siblings Anthony and his wife Bonny of Olney, MD, Pam of Titusville, NJ, Michael of Whitingham, VT, John of Weston, Christine of Norwalk, and former spouse Rosemarie of Norwalk, along with grandchildren Connor and Emma, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his fiancée Christina Russo of Fairfield.
Gerry's family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. They will receive friends on Sunday, January 5 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, at Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farm Road, in Westport.
