She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Anna Nelson Ohlin and Paul Edward Ohlin Sr.; and her siblings, Phyllis Demaris Ohlin Gammon, Betty Elinor Ohlin, Pearl Inez Ohlin Juris, Ruth Anne Ohlin Steeves and Paul Edward Ohlin Jr..
She is survived by: her husband William Henry Smelter III; her children, William Gregg Smelter (Donna), Robin Lee Smelter and Ruth Anne Smelter Piscitelli (Frank); her grandchildren, Justice, Jason, Erik, Amy, Morgan, Anthony, Cece and Frankie; her great grandchildren, Mateo, Maya, Max, Noah and Amelia; her sister Gail Ohlin Osborne; and her sister-in-law Elaine Ohlin.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Black Rock Church (3685 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06824).
