She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Pierson and Gaylord Pierson; and her brother Mitchell Pierson, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Kenneth Elliott Higgins; her sister Gay Pierson; her children, Kenneth Higgins, Jr. (Brinker), Kari Higgins Pander and Mitch Higgins (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Charlie Mitchell McGovern and Bodie Pierson McGovern.
