Charles W. Filep Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles W. Filep of Fairfield, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Filep and Ann Filep (Morrissey); his sister Edna Millak; his brother-in-law Joseph Millak; and his cousins, John Filep (Jono) and Ruthie Filep.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Haydon Filep; his daughters, Christine Filep of Fairfield and Ruth Bossler (Robert) of Beverly, MA; his grandchildren, Charlie and Chloe Bossler; and his nephews, John Filep (Rick) and Joseph Millak, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home (50 Reef Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church (1719 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at the St. Thomas Cemetery.
