He was predeceased by: his son Douglas; his grandson Neil; and his siblings, George P. MacNichol III and Carol M. Orser. He is survived by: his parents, Emma Smith and George P. MacNichol Jr.; his wife Sally Carter MacNichol; and his children, Sally N. MacNichol, Roland S. MacNichol Jr. (Terri), Carter MacNichol (Jennifer) and Caroline R. MacNichol. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
