We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2023, at the age of 90, George Dewey Harris Jr. of Essex, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey Harris Sr. and Katherine "Kate" Benford; his wife Gloria; and his siblings, Georgia, Joseph, Ozell, Geneva, Margaret, Charles, Hoover, Lula, Lillian and Fred.

He is survived by: his son Dr. George Dewey Harris, Jr. (Sandy) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, George Dewey "Duke" Harris IV, Kendra, Glenn of Miami, FL and Duncan (Garcia) of Windsor, CT; and his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Grant and Grayson. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and many faithful friends.
