Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Aelred'Ted'Lowney; and her parents, Murray Hugh and Margaret MacLeod (Coen). She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Lowney Abdalla (Nazem), Mary Ellen Lowney (Sean Cahillane), Margaret Lowney (Thomas Montreuil), Melanie Lowney Denver (Russell), Timothy Lowney and Patrick Lowney (Sandra). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Browne Memorial Chapels (43 Shaker Rd, Enfield, CT 06082). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Church (214 Brainard Rd, Enfield, CT 06082).
