She was predeceased by: her parents, Napoleon Bernier and Laura Bernier (Bolduc); and her siblings, Margerie Boyle, Jeanette Collins, Roland Bernier (Gloria) and Robert Bernier (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her close friend Tig (Siamese); her significant other James J. Smith, Jr.; her children, Lynell Theofiles of Newberry Springs, Michael J. Smith (Mary Lheureux) of Enfield and Kate Osowski (John) of Corinth; her grandchildren, Jennifer Harris (Jason Frazier) of Keene and Daniel Card (Megan) of Somers; her great grandchildren, Landon James and Finn Daniel Card of Somers; and her brother Lucien Bernier (Evelyn) of Seymour.
Services will be private at Lil's request and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
