He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Messenger and Bonnie Messenger (Richards); and his siblings, Joseph, Wilma Young and Joann Serwatka.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Messenger (Cummings); and his sister Sue Reusch (Edward) of Columbus, OH.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
