He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Katherine Burns. He is survived by: his wife Joy Rivera Cabading; his brothers, John Burns of Dover, NH and Thomas W. Burns of Agawam; his niece Kathryn Burns of Cape Cod; and his nephew John C Burns of Halifax, NS.
