He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur R. Drinan and Julia Rose Drinan (Decker); and his brother Arthur R. Drinan. He is survived by: his wife Martha McLeod; his sons, David Drinan (Puje) of San Francisco, CA and Daniel Drinan of Seymour, CT; his brother David R. Drinan (Christine) of Somers, CT; his stepchildren, Brett Alan Nees and Story Anne Neesingham; and his nieces and nephews, Sean Drinan (Kara Walters), Kate Kass (Steve), Debora Roberts Anzeze, Melody Drinan and Richard Drinan (Mary).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
