She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schmidgall and Elizzie Schmidgall (Metzger); her husband Edwin Christian Lanz; her siblings, Ray, Kenneth, Laura, Katherine, Linda, Benjamin, William, Clara, George, Floyd, Nola, Josephine and Norene; her son David Charles Lanz; and her grandson Joey Shemerluk.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Brown (Schmidgall); and her children, Michael Lanz (Lillian), John Lanz (Kay), Michelle Knowlton (Stephen), Patricia Lanz, Sandra Metzger (Shawn), Timothy Lanz (Stephanie) and Kimberly Lanz. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
