She was predeceased by: her former husband Arthur Cornelius Huggard; her husband George Richard Juke; her parents, Anna M. Barns and James Leo Burkinshaw; and her sisters, Joyce Sullivan (Jack) and Elaine Healy (Dick).
She is survived by: her sister Laurel McDonough (Andy); her children, Arthur G. Huggard and Maggie O'Keefe-Huggard; her grandchildren, Arthur Charles Huggard, Marcella Wiget, Stephen John Huggard and Kathleen Anne Huggard; her daughter Mary Louise Young (Pete Richards); her grandsons, Kevin G. Young and Joseph A. Young of Willington, Connecticut; her daughter Dawn Helene Alterman (Bruce Alterman); her grandchildren, Tyler A. Alterman and Chelsea E. DeVine (Travis DeVine) of Carmel; and her children, Sandra Kathleen Wanat, Clarissa D. Kear and Kaelyn M. Kear.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lesko Funeral Home (1209 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Ann Church (481 Brewster St, Bridgeport, CT 06605). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Mountain Grove Cemetery (2675 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604). After moving to Black Rock, Diane worked for many years as the Director of the RSVP Program for the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
