He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Melnick and Meri Melnick (Kisak); his siblings, William Melnick, Rose Marinoccio and Anna Pehowdy; and his stepsiblings, Helen Thomas, Marian DeFay and Henry Ware.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel P. Melnick of Eastford, George A. Melnick Jr. of Eastford and Carol J. McCarthy of Eastford; and his sister Jennie Brewster of Lebanon.
