He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Windecker and Katherine Windecker (Ray); and his wife Janet. He is survived by: his children, Diane (Greg), Kathryn (Nick), John and Ed, Jr. (Wendy). He is also survived by "Papa" adored his eight (8) grandchildren and twelve (12) great grandchildren.
