He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Scannell, Jr. and Joan E. Scannell (Delaney); his wife Andrea Scannell (Normandin); and his sister Patricia "Patsy" Szczepkowski. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Ofsuryk of Suffield, CT, Maureen Higgins (John) of Orlando, FL, Kenneth Scannell (Michele) of Shrewsbury, MA and Karen Flanagan (William) of Southbury, CT.; his brothers, Jack Scannell of Norwood, MA, David Scannell of Menifee, CA and William "Bill" Scannell of Dedham, MA; and his grandchildren, Alexis Ofsuryk, Jack Scannell, Jacob Ofsuryk, Molly Flanagan, Ethan Higgins, Kyle Scannell, Erin Flanagan, Ryan Higgins and Daniel Flanagan. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
