He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sheehan and Gertrude Sheehan (Finnegan); his brother Robert Sheehan (Red); and his brother-in-law William Fritz. He is survived by: his spouse Maureen Hopkins Sheehan; his children, Kathleen Constantine (Daniel Hamel) of Waterford, John Sheehan, Jr. (Diane) of Port St, Michael Sheehan (Susan) of Niantic and Eileen Doherty (James) of Rogers, AR; his sister Eleanor Fritz of Niantic; his sister-in-law Dolores Sheehan of New London; his grandchildren, Kevin, Stacy, Jack, Stephen, Julia, Mark, Kelly, Sarah and Colleen; and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Charles.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cancer Research Institute.
