It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William R. Tomassi of East Haven, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William R. departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William R. may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William R. leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Altieri Tomassi; his children, William E. Tomassi (Gina) of Guilford and Jill Furman (Joseph) of Guilford; his grandchildren, Isabella and Ariana Tomassi; and his siblings, Barbara Fucci (Donald) of Branford and George Tomassi Jr.. He was also cherished by several loving nieces and nephews.
