She was predeceased by: her parents, John Toohey and Mary Toohey (McNamara); her sons, Thomas Cox and Michael Cox; her husband Elwood "Babe" Cox; and her siblings, John Toohey, Teresa Dombrowski and Mary Morann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Cox of East Haven, Elaine Thomas (Roy) of Torrance, CA, Joan Lucas (Billy Gormley) of East Haven, Ellen Clements (Robert) of Villas, NJ, Frances Arsenault (late Ricky Arsenault) of East Haven and Maureen Monaghan (Michael) of Guilford; her daughter-in-law Alicia Colon Cox Preceding (late Thomas); her grandchildren, Bazin Girma, Enderyas Girma, Megan Lucas, Richard Sgrignari (Mike), Lauren Clements (Emily), Maggie Kaelble (Sean), Sean Monaghan and Kelsey Gorski (Dave); and her great grandchildren, Patrick Harrison, Bradley Harrison, Liam Harrison, Shiloh Girma and Parker Kaelble.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the St. Agnes Cemetery (295 E Main St, Branford, CT 06405).
