He was predeceased by: his wife Maryann Vitola Peterson; his brothers, Dwight and Jack Petersen; and his parents, Goodheart Petersen and Norma Bittner Petersen.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Mazzara (Frank) of East Haven and Joseph Peterson (Marie) of East Haven; his grandchildren, Nicole Miskimins (Thomas), Joseph Peterson and Jacqueline Salato (Joseph); his great grandchild Cameron Salato; and his sibling Lynn DelGuidice of North Branford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish (80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT 06513). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
