He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly E. Shaw, Jody A. Williams, Robin L. Graham and Tracy J. Schiffmiller; his grandchildren, Paige B. Melendez (Maloney), Stephanie L. Talbot (Graham), Courtney M. Graham, Lauren E. Crowe and Thomas J. Shaw; his great grandchildren, Carter W. Melendez and Abigail L. Talbot; his sister Margaret "Meg" M. LaRose (Maloney); and his niece Melissa Williams (LaRose).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Hartford CT Senior Center of 15 Millbrook Drive, East Hartford CT, where Joe enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends.
