He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Dunko and Frances Dunko. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Cunningham (Brian) of Hebron, Steve Dunko (Rachel Palmer) of East Hartford and Jeff Dunko (Susan) of Andover; his grandchildren, Christian Cunningham (Shannon), Molly Cunningham, Patrick Dunko, Jeremy Dunko and Seth Dunko; and his siblings, Walter Dunko, Helen Hodgman and Sophie Dunko. He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
