She is survived by: her sons, Isaac Nelson of East Hartford, CT and Joshua Nelson-Canales (Chelsea Linehan) of South Weymouth, MA; her siblings, Gary Nelson of Sierra Vista, AZ, Howard Nelson (Julie) of New Britain, CT, Christine, Paul Nelson (Joan) of Bristol, CT, David Nelson of Glastonbury, CT and Rick Nelson (Angela) of Enfield, CT; and her nieces and nephews, Tamara, Lucas, Erik and Veronika.
Memorial donations may be made in Barbara's name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
