We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John W. McGlew of East Hampton, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia and John; and his brothers, Michael and Brian. He is survived by: his husband Samir; his sister-in-law Sharon; his nephews, Brian, Mark and Alex; his niece Sarah; and his cousins, Lisa and Donna. He is also survived by four great nieces and three great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Godere - Guillot Funeral Home, Inc. (21 N 2nd Ave, Taftville, CT 06380). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (156 Providence St, Taftville, CT 06380). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (815 Boswell Ave, Norwich, CT 06360).
In lieu of flowers the family asks you donate in Jay's name to the American Heart Association or the Dakin Humane Society in Springfield Massachusetts, where his treasured kitty Missy came from.
