He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis H. Dobrowolski and Genevieve Dobrowolski (Lukowski); his siblings, Diane Ziomek, Christine Kolej and Jack Shappy; his father-in-law Thomas Essick (John J. Ziomek, Sr.); his nephew JJ Ziomek; and his close friend Tom Markiewicz.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalind of East Hampton; his children, Julie Nosal of Berlin, Erin Nosal of Unionville, Jessica, David Dobrowolski of Burlington and Sarah Arseneault (Peter) of Haddam; his grandchildren, Maisey Zuder of Berlin, Brady and Brooke Arseneault of Haddam; his sisters, Marilyn Elwell of Portland and Gloria Meickle (Jack) of Newington; his mother-in-law Louise Essick of Salisbury, MD; and his sister-in-law Linda Cockey of Salisbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Spencer Funeral Home (112 Main St, East Hampton, CT 06424). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Paul II Parish of St. Patrick (47 W High St, East Hampton, CT 06424).
