He is survived by: his parents, Clay M. Joy and Mary-Helen Reedy of East Haddam; his wife Rebekah Joy (Simmons); his son Logan Joy of East Haddam; his brother Richard; his aunts, Beth Rittman, Meg Gruszczek and Shirley Bombaci; his uncle Paul Rittman; and his cousins, Ashley and Justin. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
