He was predeceased by: his parents, John Krutz and Anne Krutz (Biaglowy). He is survived by: his children, Robert J. Krutz II and Jennifer (Carl Gruszczak); his granddaughters, Isabella of Cromwell and Jolene (Stephen Wilcox); his great grandchildren, Michael and Brianna; his siblings, Ronald (Penny Krutz) of Bolivia, NC, Barbara (Ron Wardlow) of Bridgeport, CT, Sandra (James Swanson) of West Haven, CT and Linda (Bruce Larocque); and his former wife Dorothy Valentino. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
