He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Biff" Walas and Alice Walas (Kozlosky). He is survived by: his children, Todd Tibbetts (Anne) of Seattle, WA, Matthew Walas (Kate) of West Hartford, CT, Stephanie Lizotte (Clifford) of Glastonbury, CT and Heather Lonergan (Jason) of Higganum, CT.; his siblings, Jeffrey Walas of Sunderland, MA, James Walas of Chestertown, NY, Diane Pickering of Shutesbury, MA, Deborah Carey of Leverett, MA and Jennifer Cavagnac of Amherst, MA.; and his grandchildren, Skylar, Sam Tibbetts, Azjah Lizotte, Kelsey, Brenna, Aubrey Lonergan, Eleanor, Henry and Amelia Walas.
