He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean L. Fairchild (Langhoff); his parents, Charles R. Fairchild and Ida Mae Fairchild (Potwine); his son Jon Fairchild; and his siblings, Justin and Shirley.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Fairchild (Teri) of Durham and Chris Fairchild (Karen) of Middletown; and his grandchildren, Meagan, Lauren, Michael, Patrick and Nick.
