She was predeceased by: her husband Leo H. Slight; her parents, Manuel and Mary Ponte, Jr. (Cabral); and her son Roger E. Slight. She is survived by: her sons, Philip Slight (Shari) of Moyock, NC, Dennis Slight (Debbie) of Southington and David Slight (Marianne) of Durham. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Doolittle Funeral Home (14 Old Church St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
