It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Bastis of Durham, Connecticut, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Evelyn "Lynne" Lanoue Bastis. He is survived by: his children, Kristen Jeanne Bastis and Donald "Brian" Bastis; his daughter-in-law Julie Garrison Bastis; his grandchildren, Alexis Lynne Bastis, David Garrison Bastis and Elizabeth Grace Bastis; his siblings, Deborah Congelos Prior and Steven Congelos; and his cousin Virginia Remika Tabb.
In lieu of flowers, Donations are requested to UCONN or the Alzheimer's Association, or donate blood to the American Red Cross.
