With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Daniel Scarpa Jr. of Derby, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis D. Scarpa and Marie Scarpa (Impellitteri) of Derby, Connecticut.; and his wife Bettie Jo Scarpa (Rice). He is survived by: his sons, Michael Scarpa (Gracie) of Newport News, VA and Milton Scarpa (Joann) of Theodore, AL; his granddaughters, Jessica Phillips (Kevin) of Warrensburg, MO and Emily Scarpa of Auburn, AL; his great grandchildren, Melanie and Parker Phillips; his brothers, Anthony Scarpa (Winnie) and Joseph Scarpa (Mella); and his half-sister JoAnn Scarpa.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home (210 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
