He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taft Owens and Edna Wilhelmy Owens; and his sister Sandra Owens Beauton. He is survived by: his wife Donna Collins Owens; his children, Jeffrey R. Owens (Diane) of Southbury, Stephen P. Owens of Derby and Kristin Owens Dorogi (Csaba) of Leominster, MA.; his grandchildren, Quinn, Laszlo Dorogi, Justinian and Alexander Owens; his niece Heather Beauton; his brother-in-law Robert H. Collins (Jennifer); and his cousin Ellen Lenart (Thomas, family: James Cotter Sr.).
