It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Jeffery Collins of Derby, Connecticut, who passed away on November 10, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Collins and Antoinette Collins; his sisters, Dr. Kim Collins Morton and Tracy Collins; and his great-niece Nova Collins.
He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Collins of Derby and Ginger Collins Martell (Bill) of Plainfield; his nephews, Desmond Collins (Diamond) of Derby, Dante Morton of Bridgeport, Gavin Martell of Plainfield and Justin Martell of New York City; and his great-nephew Zenith Collins. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Regardless of vaccination status, the family asks that all attendees wear masks and social distance as they walk through to pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. His funeral service, military honors and burial will be private.
