Mary M. Dempsey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2023, at the age of 104, Mary M. Dempsey of Dayville, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Governor John Dempsey; her parents, Carl A. Frey and Margaret Sampson Frey; her siblings, Carl Frey, Genevieve Frey, Rita Bush, Margaret Molleur and Patricia Davidson; and her nephew Frank Riley.

She is survived by: her children, Ed, Tim Oliver of Woodstock, John, Jr., Dot Maynard of Dayville, Margaret, David Gankofskie of Willington, Kevin and Marilynn (Lynn) of West Hartford; her grandchildren, Darren, Jessica, Brian, Stephen, Katie, John, III, James, Patrick, Brendan and Gemma; her great grandchildren, Desmond, David, Jordan, Maya, Jamill, John, IV, Everett, Brooklynn, Hunter, Page, Mia, Arianna, Noelle, Logan, Grace and Mckenna; her great great grandchildren, Abigail, Teddy and Bennett; her nieces, Joan Bennett and Mary Margaret Bennett; and her nephew Frederick Riley. She is also survived by four children, three sons and one daughter.
