It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of JoAnn Benson of Darien, Connecticut, born in Laurel, Nebraska, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ellsworth F Benson; and her daughter Dana Zeiss. She is survived by: her daughters, Heather Benson and Jill Riith of Stamford; her son-in-law Andrew Zeiss of Stamford; her grandchildren, Erik Zeiss of Stamford, Bryan Zeiss (Jenn) of East Haven, Michael Riith of Norwalk and Morgan Zeiss (Mike Belaineh) of Boynton Beach, FL; her great grandchildren, Kaleb Belaineh and Ava Viera; and her pet Corky.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations be made to the Humane Society of Westport in JoAnn's name.
