“My heart is heavy with the news of Wendell's passing. Wendell and I go way back to meeting at the Danielson Methodist Church in the '70s. He and Joyce always remembered me with Christmas cards, and Wendell and I always sent postcards to each other when traveling out-of-state. We shared the same sense of humor and I can still hear his laughter when sharing a joke. Many times I have told the story about the time when he was at the funeral home after the death of his father. I will miss him a lot.”
