With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ioakim I. Karanikolaou of Danielson, Connecticut, who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ioakim I. Karanikolaou to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ioannis Karanikolaou and Anastasia Karanikolaou (Karademitriou); and his spouse Stamo Karanikolaou. He is survived by: his daughter Maria Haveles; his son-in-law Albert Basley; and his grandchildren, Stamatina Haveles, Christos Haveles, Nikolaos Basley and Alekos Basley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
