He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Tyler, Sr. and Annie Tyler (Bennett); his children, Earl Jr. and Joanne; his granddaughter Sandra; and his siblings, Robert, Kenneth, Walter Jr. and Doris.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy, Marlene, Betty Jean, Timothy and Steven; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Timothy Jr.. He is also survived by his neighbors and friends.
