He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. Kerns (Klein); his brother James O. Kerns Sr.; his children, Debra Kerns, Jody Kerns and Charles E. Kerns Jr.; and his stepchildren, John H. Sabourin Jr., Rick D. Sabourin Sr., Tammy M. Cote and Betty A. Caffrey. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
