Patricia M. O'Neill Obituary

Patricia "Patty" O'Neill, 65, beloved wife of Bob O'Neill for over 41 wonderful years, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2024 surrounded by many loved ones. Born in Riverdale, NY, Patty was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Teresa (Maloney) Caldwell. She was a resident of Wilton for 30 years, before relocating to Danbury. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Edward Caldwell, sister Teresa Galligan, sister-in-law JoAnn Caldwell, and a brother-in-law James O'Donnell.

Patty was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, cruises and spending time in New York City and at the beach. She was the family matriarch and devoted to her children and grandchildren. Patty loved to celebrate and made every family vacation, milestone, party and holiday magical. She was adored by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband and soul mate Bob, four children; Kathryn "Katie" Anstotz and her husband Brian, Robert "Rob" O'Neill and his wife Vanessa, Pamela "Pam" Gervais and her husband Kevin, and Daniel "Danny" O'Neill, as well as four cherished grandchildren; Lucy and Charlie Anstotz and Gracie and Emmett O'Neill, a brother Robert Caldwell and his wife Sharon and sister, Elizabeth "Beth" McCahey and her husband Kevin, as well as two sisters-in-law, Maryann O'Donnell and Lela Caldwell, a brother-in-law James Galligan, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Patty was most proud of her loving and close knit family.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16 from 3-9PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wednesday, July 17 at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, 229 Danbury Rd, Wilton, with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
