She was predeceased by: her husband Harold "Hi" McGowan; her parents, Luigi Capano and Grace Capano (Doto); and her brother Nicholas Capano. She is survived by: her children, Judy Pilch (Douglas Henry) of New Milford, Sandy Gotthardt (Mark) of Naugatuck and Mark Paradise (Kimberly) of Groton, CT; and her stepdaughters, Nancy Degon of Auburn, MA and Kathy Walter of Brookfield. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
