He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Costa Velente and Hermina Melo Velente; and his son Michael Costa. He is survived by: his wife Maria E. Paiva; his son Jose M. Costa'Joey'; his granddaughter Nevaeh Costa; and his siblings, Mario, Rosa, Garca, Fatima, Luis and Armando.
