With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joao M. Verissimo of Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on November 19, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Altina Faria, Jose, Silvino Verissimo and Maria of Gloria Corderio; and his niece Leomena Carreiro.

He is survived by: his wife Isaura Verissimo; his children, Paul Verissimo, Maria Verissimo (Jim) and Christina Verissimo (Ricardo); his grandchildren, Ashley Verissimo (Justin), Kianna Kieras and Isabella Garay; his great grandchild Carter Bennett; his siblings, Serafina Furtado and Cidalia Quadros; and his granddaughter Isaura (Ashley Verissimo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Verissimo family asks that all donations be made to The Parkinsons Foundation in João 's memory.
