He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Lynch and Margaret Lynch (Beilhart); his son Patrick; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Althaus and Michael Martin; and his in-laws, Dr. Roland and Kathleen Baroni.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, David M. Lynch, Jr. of Cambridge, MA, Timothy Lynch (Wendy) of Danbury, Kelly Tierney (Shawn) of New Milford, Mark Lynch (Jessie) of Woodbury and Kaitlin Teehan (Christopher) of Medfield, MA; his grandchildren, Veronica, Madison, Riley and Cole Tierney; his children, Annarita, Jamison Lynch, Jack, Joey, Ruby Lynch, Thomas and Luke Teehan; and his siblings, Jerry Lynch (Jeri), Tara Althaus, Brian Lynch (Gerrilyn), Kevin Lynch (Melanie) and Colin Lynch (Kelly).
